Botika, a startup concentrating on AI-generated fashion models, has secured $8 million in funding and unveiled its latest mobile iOS application.
Although human fashion models might not appreciate this, Botika claims it equips online apparel companies of various sizes with its AI-generated models that enhance the appearance of their clothing.
The application, together with the most recent upgrades to Botika’s generative AI infrastructure, assists fashion brands in producing high-quality, on-model images for e-commerce. Alongside this announcement, Botika has successfully finalized an $8 million seed funding round, co-led by Stardom and Secret Chord Ventures, with contributions from Seedcamp.
This investment will propel ongoing product innovation and assist the company’s growth within the fashion sector, where it has realized impressive growth – increasing its revenue by ninefold and its clientele by elevenfold over the past year.
With this substantial capital injection and the introduction of the mobile app, Botika intends to offer an accessible, budget-friendly solution to allow online clothing brands to elevate their visual content, enhance sales, and lower production expenses.
Botika’s distinctive AI technology is crafted to assist brands in effortlessly converting basic product images into professional, studio-standard photographs, complete with AI-generated models and backgrounds that reflect each brand’s style. The company is also developing its own customized foundation models.
Over half of consumers depend on brand or retailer-supplied imagery when deciding whether to buy an article of clothing. However, the expenses associated with a photography session for e-commerce can vary from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars per shoot, according to the company.
Botika’s AI-generated fashion model addresses this significant challenge for fashion brands, removing barriers to obtaining high-quality, on-brand images at an affordable price and timeframe. Botika’s platform empowers brands to produce realistic, visually appealing images within minutes to captivate customers and drive sales.
The new Botika mobile app places the platform’s robust AI-generated fashion model tools directly into users’ hands, allowing fashion brands to create impressive, on-model product photography at any time and location.
With the application, brands acquire access to their own AI-driven virtual studio, greatly reducing time-to-market by streamlining image production without compromising on quality. This mobile capability also encompasses Botika’s latest support for flat lays and packshots, broadening the brand’s skillset beyond its initial emphasis on on-model photography.
In response to requests from mobile users on e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and others, Botika has created the app to facilitate end-to-end, professional-quality photo production directly from mobile devices. Brands can now capture, edit, and sync images effortlessly to their online storefronts, accelerating time-to-market while cutting costs and preserving quality.
“Transforming browsing consumers into purchasing customers heavily depends on captivating and accurate product imagery, yet not every image is of equal quality,” stated Eran Dagan, CEO of Botika, in a statement. “As consumer expectations rise and e-commerce becomes increasingly competitive through social selling, smaller online brands and boutiques risk losing profits due to photography expenses or subpar images that garner less engagement and fewer sales. With the launch of Botika’s mobile iOS app, we are empowering our clients with the capabilities needed to realize their creative aspirations and more effectively compete in a challenging online fashion landscape.”
The recent funding and product advancements signify a significant milestone for Botika, with intentions to build upon this momentum throughout 2025.
